What is Live in Care

Put simply, live-in care is when one of our carers or nurses moves into your home to offer you the dedicated support that you need.

If you are looking for an alternative to a nursing or residential home for yourself or someone you love, a way to remain in the familiar surroundings of your own home for as long as you wish to, even after you begin to need a little extra help, live-in care provides just that

It can be difficult to admit that you’re finding everyday things like washing, cleaning, cooking and shopping more difficult than you used to, or that a change in circumstances or health now means that you need help looking after yourself. However, this does not mean that your quality of life has to slip. With the support of our staff you can spend more quality time with family, loved ones and friends, giving you a new lease of life. Knowing that you have help at home will also offer peace of mind to those who love and worry about you.

Your live-in carer will…

  1. Require a room of their own so you both can have your own privacy.
  2. Traditionally work a standard eight-hour day, though of course they are there to help if an emergency should arise in the night. If, however, you regularly require longer hours we do offer a 24-hour service as well.
  3. Continually adapt to the needs and wishes of those they look after in order to always offer the best support possible.

Short or long-term live-in care

Although we’re dedicated to providing the highest standards of long-term support, many of our clients also use our services on a short-term basis. We can provide holiday cover for when your regular carer is away, or a temporary service if you need a little help whilst convalescing from an illness or accident

Your live-in carer

At ANA Nursing we go to great lengths to select only the very best live-in care assistants. Our recruitment process, practical testing, compulsory training, referencing and Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS)/police checking is more thorough and rigorous than any other organisation we know. You can be assured that the person we send to look after your needs will be a kind and caring individual, respectful of your privacy and space, experienced in caring for others, and dedicated to your needs.
